Major Weather Patterns

- The weather in the Humid Continental climate has 4 different seasons: Warm and humid summer, cool and dry autumn (fall), cold and harsh winter, and a warm and wet spring.
- It has long cold winters
- Short warm summers

When it rains, it rains between 50 inch, but can be more or less. The summer temperature is 75 degrees, and the winters can be below freezing. The biggest effect in this area is having a hurricane or Tornado. Also,the moist air flowing off the warm ocean has a huge effect to this climate area.

Fall temperatures vary to the low 60's. Breezes pick up and are soon replaced with a cruel winter. In the spring the winds can still be gusty.
